I'm a web designer and developer in Pittsburgh, PA. I've been at it since 2001.

I specialize in designing and developing useful and creative solutions for people to interact with the web. I have an intimate knowledge of current and legacy web browsers. I'm always keeping my eyes toward future technologies. HTML, CSS, and Photoshop are the tools I use to create art on the canvas of the internet.

I also have interests and stuff...

  • I like to travel. But my job usually requires me to sit behind a desk for long periods of time.
  • I love the challenge of creating and implementing a user experience.
  • My greatest passion outside of the work I do is hockey.
  • I skipped my senior prom because I had a roller hockey game scheduled that night. No regrets there what so ever.
  • I do believe I won that game, 3-2.
  • I love MMA.
  • As with most guys my age and in my industry, I grew up playing video games.
  • I miss my Kitty so very very much.
  • Not only did I understand the end of Lost, but I was fully satisfied by it.
  • Like most Pittsburghers, I think that football is the most popular sport in the world. However, we're thinking completely different sports.
  • I no longer think Twitter is stupid. There are practical uses for it. But most people just aren't that important or interesting to be investing so much effort into it.
  • Favorite movies in no particular order: Blood Sport, Walk Hard, Karate Kid Part III (just the Terry Silver parts)
  • I'm a logo and uniform geek. I take great interest in the asthetics of athletics.
  • I have an insanely huge collection of hockey jerseys.
  • Brunettes, definitely brunettes.
  • My favorite charity is the Mario Lemieux Foundation.
  • Some of my happiest and most rewarding days professionally where when I only had Photoshop open.

Bare Metal Pittsburgh (2011) New identity established for Right Ascension's co-location data center. Set to open in 2012.
Design Prototypes

Whack Offer (2011) New identity established for the Adult DVD Empire premium discount site.

Pornstar Empire (2011) New identity established for the Adult DVD Empire free "Tube" site.

Faceoff-Factor (2011) New mark for the long established hockey blog. Made it's debut at the start of the 2011-2012 NHL season.

Empire Cash (2011) Site still in development.

BitBunker (2011) Logo modified and recolored before launch.

Solr Station (2010) Mobile application developed by 31st & Penn is an administration tool for Apache's Solr search platform that runs on mobile platforms

31st & Penn (2010) A company founded by Chris Umbel and myself in 2010. It's focus is on mobile applications and IT consulting.

uEncode (2009) Logo has been updated during the many revisions of the site.

DougGraham1 (2000-Current) The DougGraham1 logo is in constant evolution.
